Rammp SaaS AI - Redesign

Expanded existing SaaS product to showcase the value of the recent generative AI component of the app

RAMMP is an AI SAAS B2B Startup, based in Brisbane, Australia 🌏

Reduce pre-conversion churn and create predictable + effective customer acquisition for your B2B / B2C brand

Rammp recently pivoted from a pure customer journey/marketing analytics app to one which embedded generative AI for users to easily apply fixes to their products/companies.

Where we started

Original App
Adding Navigation between States
The original app made use of a brilliantly designed Dashboard but relied heavily on a sidebar for a multitude of information and actions.
Amidst this, the newer AI features were lost.

The redesign involved staying true to the original dashboard, whole improving UX and clarifying value for both the dashboard and the AI fixes.

‍Adding sharp delineation between Diagnose & Fix cycle

Project Overview

PROBLEM
The original v1.0 Rammp Web App made use of a brilliantly designed dashboard which received inputs from the user's Google Analytics & user-set targets.

A significant AI feature-set (helping users create targeted content based on priority) was introduced on top of this - via a side-bar containing both detailed information and call-to-actions.

This led to a fragmented experience with inconsistent navigation and high cognitive load - translating to lower engagement rates (and diminished perceived value of the new AI tech).

Adding Navigation

Added Nav & CTA
First up, adding a sharp delineation between Diagnose and Fix phases - highlighting the importance of both for the user.
Thinking through the navigation is one of the first steps we did with the client.

Original Dashboard

This led to a fragmented experience with inconsistent navigation and overwhelming amounts of text - leading to low engagement rates (and diminished value of the new AI tech).

A redesign was in order. How could we turn this around?

OPPORTUNITY
Several improvement opportunities were discussed & prioritised:

1. Navigation & Flow to be reworked showcasing the merits of both AI and original dashboard. A purposeful split between Diagnose (original algorithm) and Fix modes (new AI component) was introduced.

2. A unit-of-value was defined for the new AI part - which were at the most atomic level, - prompts leading to carefully trained bots returning accurate and high quality outputs for the customer.

3. These components to be in a natural flow - from Landing page to Diagnosing - to Fixing. And this flow needs to be cater to new and existing users of various skill-levels.
The redesign involved staying true to the original dashboard, whole improving UX and clarifying value for both the algorithm (dashboard) and AI (prompt packs).
PROCESS
From Ideation:

Various medium fidelity wireframe (Figma) concepts were created to ensure consistency between Diagnose & Fix pages.

To Prototype Delivery & Testing:

A high-fidelity fully-interactive interactive prototype was produced and tested, and many iterations later - handed over to the React-based dev team for implementation.

Rammp Units of Value
Rammp's library of research-driven Ai prompts/tasks - was the app's "unit-of-value".

These were designed to be flexible in use, demonstrate immediate value to the customer, and reflect the Rammp branding.
The redesign involved staying true to the original dashboard, whole improving UX and clarifying value for both the algorithm (dashboard) and AI (prompt packs).

New Interface Design - AI Components

SOLUTION

Various medium fidelity wireframe (Figma) concepts were created to ensure consistency between Diagnose & Fix pages. The Ai side of the app was housed in its new "Fix" location. Each card on the original Dashboard page was linked to it's respective tab below:

How it Started

When I learned that startups have a 90% failure rate a few years ago - I decided to look through the literature on startup success models / startup analytics.
Most tools relied on models that took in large amounts of low quality data (from large startup databases).

So i created a simple algorithm which can evaluate any startup - and assign it an "investment readyness" score of 0-5.
For founders - strong and weak areas become apparent. Investors get access to quantitatively screened startups - which can be then compared - at scale.
Over time, Machine Learning to optimise success predictors - as this new database matures.

Here is a driver-tree representation:

Problem Worth Solving

Information Asymmetry & Pitch Decks - central, yet ...arbitrary? 🤔

At the time I was working at another startup and was responsible for creating, updating, and sending more Pitch Decks (and their versions) than I can remember.
Creating new slides, tweaking the structure / design, and updating + emailing multiple versions - took away lots of time from the team.
It was almost like every week we would be working towards a new version of the deck. Then emailing them. And waiting...

We needed to spend less time on the fundraising, and more on our company!
I later learned we were not the only founders facing these problems.
Life is too short for bad software, and
As founders, we need something to help us get funding 100x faster.

But also, it's time to profoundly change the ecosystem.
From information asymmetry - to transparency & sharing.
From us-them mentality - to we are all partners thinking.
A new startup ecosystem.

New Landing Page

With the upgraded design of the responsive web/mobile app, RAMMP needed a new landing page to support the commercial launch: Med/High-fidelity designs & beautiful product assets were created based on latest high-conversion SaaS research.
→ With the web application launched, the landing page provided a beautiful entry-point to the start of the user journey.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Together, the Original Dashboard, New AI Section, and New Landing Page form a significant step-change in user experience.
Post launch, the redesign has contributed significantly to onboarding new customers, (and recurring revenue) - leading to positioning RAAMP for the next stage of growth via Series A funding.
